pacWHAT IS IT?
There are many great ROMs out there, with the more popular ones being AOSPA (ParanoidAndroid), CM10.1, and AOKP. Being all great ROMs, it is sometimes difficult to choose which one you want to run. Why choose when you can have all three? P.A.C.-Man ROM is combination of all three ROMs, so you don’t need to keep switching or deciding between which one to flash. Get all of the features in one ROM!

Customized Trebuchet Launcher
A lot of customizations (PIE nav, hybrid settings, per-app color)
Based on ParanoidAndroid, AOKP, and CyanogenMod

  • 03/22 – Repo synced, Initial build so there could be many bugs.
  • 03/29 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.71, fixed: calendar crashing in portrait mode, boot animation, high battery drainage in deep sleep, some heat issues when device is in high load (maxed frequency) for long period, removed phone and phablet ui from Hybrid Properties (Default Tablet UI) , default boot orientation is landscape (Don’t ask why).
  • 04/10 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.72, NO MORE DEEP SLEEP (deep sleep does not help reduce battery drainage when device sleep but causes problems with our current kernel), improved battery drainage in sleep, the device will wake and get charged when you plugged in power cable, changed default governor to Wheatley for lower battery usage, added back 1.2GHz, removed faked battery data (you will need to do a full charge, green light, to get accurate battery stats), used Wi-Fi codes from BN, Wi-Fi is set to turn off when the device sleep, added back default dual-pane preferences, latest CWM 6.0.3.0 recovery, make use of sdcard0 (EMMC) as default storage for those without SDCard, added back Phablet UI to Hybrid properties (Navigation bar buttons and Battery bar options only work in Phablet UI currently).

xylon2WHAT IS IT?
Xylon is fully transformed distribution for Android Devices. It is designed to take full advantage of the device’s hardware and to provide the user pure Android experience.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

CHANGELOGS:
Look at XYAOSP source history for further changes, I will not post them.
02/27 – Repo synced, Initial build so there could be many bugs.
03/06 – Repo synced, kernel updated to 3.0.68 with new lowmemorykiller, font size increased a little in statusbar and Trebuchet, you can increase icon size to 120% in Trebuchet, gesture control in Trebuchet, new SuperUser (Koush’s).
IMPORTANT NOTES: If you noticed null icons (no action icons) on the NavBar then you need to go to Settings > XY Tools > Navigation Bar > Menu (The vertical three dots) and Reset navbar icons/targets. For Navigation Ring to work, you need to clear data/data1 if you are on previous build.
04/27 – Repo synced, kernel updated 3.0.75, a lot of changes I don’t remember, auto temp control, re-added 1200MHz (use 800MHz/Wheatley for better battery life), disabled deep sleep for better battery in sleep & device wake when plugged/unplugged, CWM 6.0.3.1. IMPORTANT NOTES: BACK UP YOUR DATA. This build might require factory reset (INT boot)/data1 wipe (SDC boot). If your first boot resulted in black screen, press & hold power button for 20 seconds then re-press a couple seconds to turn device on and try booting again. Changing governor or having cable plugged in to PC can cause this.

CM10.0 Jellybean SDCard IMG for Nook Tablet (12/31) FINAL

sdcard

  1. Background and Instructions
  2. Flashing Image
  3. Installing Update

What is this? It’s an image copy of a 2GB sdcard with bootable CM10 Jellybean. You simply burn the image to your 2GB sdcard or bigger and you have a bootable CM10 Jellybean running on your Nook Tablet. Nothing alter to your Nook Tablet internal system.

Does this work on Nook Color, Nook HD, or HD+? NO

Many people have asked for an image of bootable CM10 for SDCard. I was reluctant to do it because CM10 for Nook Tablet get updated a lot or aren’t as stable before. Making an image of the SDCard create a huge file and uploading it takes a long time for me. Now, CM10 for Nook Tablet have gotten to a stage where it’s good enough to run from internal every day. Still, some people like to maintain their stock OS and want to run CM10 from their SDCard. I’ve written many instructions on how to create a bootable SDCard for various CM rom. Some people are afraid they might screw up and some just don’t even bother to learn to create one from my guide. They opt for an image of CM10 instead. So, I’ve finally caved and made one.

  • DO NOT SELL PREBUILT SDCARD WITH ROM
  • Make sure you have more than 2GB of space available on your computer.
  • Install 7-zip if you can’t extract the file.
  • Extract cm10_xxxxxx_sd_hd.img from cm10_xxxxxx_sd_hd.7z/rar
  • This is a 2GB image that can be burn to a 2GB or bigger microSD card.
  • After installation, DATA1 partition 3 and SDCard only has xxx MB.
  • Many will want to expand their SDCard if it is bigger than 2GB.
  • You need to use a partition software on your computer to modify your SDCard partitions.
  • Delete (P4, FAT32 SDCARD) and re-size (P3, DATA1) then recreate (P4, FAT32 SDCARD).
  • (P3 DATA1) If the label don’t show, it’s OK.
  • Yes, you can delete P3 DATA1 and recreate it. P3 DATA1 has to be EXT4 PRIMARY.
  • P3 DATA1, store your installed apps and apps data.
  • P4 SDCard, store your data, apps downloaded data.
  • You want to expand the last 2 partitions (FAT32 SDCARD) for more storage.
  • TIPS: Creating softkeys
  • Settings>Hardware keys>Enable custom actions, Home key>Toggle status bar
  • Settings>System>Status bar>Tablet status bar and Fullscreen with auto hide mode

How to Guide: Bootable (CM7/CM9/CM10) SDCard for Nook Tablet

Notes:

  • DO NOT SELL PREBUILT SDCARD WITH ROM
  • You need to have a microSD card 2GB or bigger.
  • Don’t update your touch panel firmware if you want dual or triple-boot.
  • Read CM10.0 Jelly Bean for Nook Tablet if you want to downgrade the firmware.
  • Not all microSD card brands are made equal.
  • I always recommend SanDisk due to fast small block random write.
  • Only CM10 support 5-touchs/10-touchs driver currently.
  • CM10 currently have problem with SDCard dismount when device goes to deep sleep.
  • This causes the device to not awake when turning it back on.
  • You have to hold the power button for 20 seconds and then power it back on.
  • Added comments for Ubuntu
