About

Hello,

Not much to say about me.

I like sports, alternative music, instrumental music, arts, video games, comedy shows and movies, cooking and art shows, citrus fruits, and drawing.

I am generally quite. I am curious about everything.

I am a picky eater. I think I hate like 80% of the fruit out there. That includes apple, banana, berries, kiwi…

I am not straightedge, and I don’t drink or smoke. I don’t drink coffee either. The last thing I wanted in life is to be addicted to something beside someone you love.

Do you have a good howto (or know of one) about how to make bootable uSD cards for the Nook Tablet from source? I’d like to reproduce what you’ve been doing.

I hope this is an acceptable way to contact you.

If you had any experience compiling android kernel and Cyanogenmod then it should be a breeze. If not, you need to learn to set up Ubuntu 12.04 (Widely used for compiling CM) compiling environment. Head over to XDA Developers, there are countless number of posts on how to compile CM. As for the source, they’re on my Github, github.com/succulent, or active member Kuzma, github.com/kuzma30.

I’ve had a post awhile ago on how to compile CM7. Obviously setting up CM7 is different than CM10, but it provides the basis.

Let’s see if wordpress can handle an email response.

I’m an old hand at building the linux kernel, but I haven’t done it for a few years with any regularity. I’ll take a look at XDA for some hints on how to setup a cross build environment suited for Android/ARM. The machine I would like to do the work on is running Fedora 17, so I’ll have to see how much different that setup is vs Ubuntu 12.4. If I need to, I’ll just build a box for this work. Hmm, come to think of it, I have a 12.10 box up and running. I can’t imagine they changed that much, but you never know.

Okay, I’ll run through the setup at XDA as a test. Once I’ve done that, do you have a git repo of your work?

        Cheers, David
